A little bit of night photography in the beautiful New York City. I love night photography and will be doing a lot more of it since i now have a pretty good tripod and a remote for my camera. I hope you like this photograph. I think it came out very very well! I hope you do too!-Steve

Its a perfect shoot! The lighting is just in the right direction, illuminating only the most beautiful details that by day would be unnoticed. I shall do this night photography that you're talking about! Its new to me because of the material i don't have atm (like a tripod). ;) Awesome photo!

You don't necessarily need a tripod for night photography thought it does make it a lot easier. Often it is fun to not have a tripod, and it makes you think harder. You can place the camera on top of a car or a rock, hang it from a tree. Some great effects come from the camera moving. You should try it both with and without a tripod. Good luck! This is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting for this is perfect- how it delicately just illuminates the stairs. It's such a ominous and mystery scene, as well. :+fav: It's definitely something I'd expect from New York City. It's definitely a photograph that inspires me. :D
