Hey! So to all of my queer friends out there in the dA community Happy LGBT History Month!!!
For those of you who do not know LGBT stands for Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender but covers all of the "queer" identities (anything other than heterosexual). Also most of you do not know that I am part with the queer community. I identify as fluid but since this is not about me won't explain what fluidity is right now and will just say that's it's similar to being bisexual.

So for this month (because I didn't think of this in June which is LGBT Pride Month) I would like to hold THREE simultaneous contests! I am very scared of this and don't know how I will deal with it, but I will. For the entirety of October there will be open a literature, a photography, and a digital art contest.

Now I am hoping to have one judge that mainly deviates each of these mediums as well as myself as the judge. I already have a literature judge, and for those of you who know me, you have probably guessed that it is *mode-de-vie. If you are a digital artist or a photographer and would be interested in judging please send me a note, though there are a few people I have in mind for asking as well.

About the Contests
Now these contests are to be about pride. I don't really want them to be political. I don't want them to be a way to convince people that being queer is natural, or that we were born this way. This is LGBT History Month and I just want it to be about us, being happy about ourselves and our past and our community.

Who can enter?
Any queer person or ally of the queer community can enter. I ask that if you are an opposer to our community you not send in any work depicting this because as I said above, this is just for fun, and not in anyway political activism. Oh! And queer does include those of you who are questioning. Feel free to add to the contest those of you who are still trying to figure out if you are queer or not!

Rules
This is a pretty simple contest. This is subject to change when people ask me questions and I realized I left something out!

• One deviation per deviant per contest. Now there are three contests so that means you can technically submit 3 times, but still only once per contest.


• When you submit in the subject of the note put "LGBT" plus which medium that deviation is (literature, photography, digital art) and your user name. so one of mine might look like this... "LGBT Photography death-by-romance"


• For Literature: Poems should be no more than 100 lines. Prose should be no more than 1,000 words.


• The deadline for all three contests is October 31st at 11:59 EST.

Prizes
This is prize list WILL grow bigger as the contest moves on. As you can see this is just what I personally am contributing. I know it will grow! I am 100% sure of it. If you are interested in in donating a prize please note me!
